SAPAA’s Youth Summit educates, empowers, and engages Sudanese American students and communities. We encourage students to be civically engaged while having critical conversations about their identity, culture, and overall history. The SAPAA convention features thought-provoking presentations, educational sessions, youth growth and development, business and entrepreneurship break-outs, power networking opportunities, music, and cultural celebrations. The theme for this year is "Celebrating Unity, Building for Tomorrow". The youth have organized this leadership conferences and trainings to encourage our community on upward mobility in personal and professional development, allowing for a sustainable structure that not only allows individuals to grow, flourish, and enact their own projects but also, fortify a movement that is founded on values of social justice and equity. Young people have and always will be the drivers of change. We want to help build tools and guidance to create a continuum of leaders who are passionate about making a positive difference in their communities.
