Students HEAL (Health and Education Abroad through Leadership) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization led by select nursing students from San Diego State University’s School of Nursing. We will be partnering up with physicians and Starfish Volunteers to embark on a medical brigade to Sangkhlaburi, Thailand in January 2022. We will be providing free health care clinics, home health care, and community outreach within 5 different villages in the rural regions surrounding Sangkhlaburi. Due to socioeconomic and multiple political and legal factors, much of the population in these areas have limited to no access to healthcare. This is why we are choosing to bring healthcare to them! Not only will we volunteer our time to provide this care, but we are also responsible for bringing $15,000 worth of medication and medical supplies with us to aid in our endeavor.
