We're thrilled to announce the return of Send Hunger Packing, a hands-on service project to fight food insecurity here in Washtenaw County and around the world. In partnership with Kids Coalition Against Hunger, our goal this year is to pack 50,0000 nutritious meals—right here in our community. Volunteers will fill meal bags with rice, soy, dried vegetables, and a vitamin supplement. Each bag is sealed, boxed, and distributed—one-third locally, one-third to global hunger relief, and one-third for disaster response. This is the fourth consecutive year for this one-day fundraiser held at Pioneer High School. To reach our goal we need to raise $17,500.
