What if Burbank could be a hub for green schools, where every student grows up in a thriving, safe, healthy environment? Our three Rs are resilient, resourceful, and responsible, and we know we can create impact together. We eco-conscious members of the Burbank community are creating sustainable initiatives in our BUSD public and private schools. The mission is to get all schools on the same page, share resources and support each other through collective wisdom. Each school has different strengths and obstacles, so Burbank Eco Council is the rock that supports everyone's efforts. Since 2019 we've been working on school gardens, clean air projects, waste sort programs, reusable mealware, bike buses, Earth Day events, and Green Ribbon schools.
