Established in 2008, FFC was created to confront the alarming outcomes facing youth in foster care across Central Florida. As the local foster care population has grown by 49% over the past decade, public systems have become increasingly strained. FFC was founded to bridge the gap between standardized care, and the personalized, trauma-informed support youth need to thrive. FFC delivers its mission through three integrated pillars; ENRICH, EDUCATE, and EMPOWER, providing comprehensive services that address academic success, emotional well-being, life skills, and the transition to adulthood. Since its founding, FFC has served more than 7,800 youth and facilitated over 28,600 individualized opportunities. In 2025 alone, 530 youth across Orange, Seminole, and Osceola Counties received support, including 1,406 hours of tutoring and 7,377 hours of advocacy and direct services. A hallmark achievement is FFC’s outcomes framework that tracks 56 data points across five domains of well-being. Results consistently exceeding national averages for foster youth: 100% of participating seniors graduated high school (vs. 50% nationally); 96% secured employment or enrolled in higher education (vs. 60%); 99% avoided homelessness (vs. 70%); and 100% avoided arrests and teenage pregnancy (vs. 47% and 50%, respectively). These outcomes demonstrate that sustained, individualized support can disrupt generational cycles of instability.
