The duCret School of Art is situated on five beautiful acres, and is located in a historic residential neighborhood, on the outskirts of the City of Plainfield, NJ. The duCret building was originally a family home in the 1900's, and was converted in the 1930's by the Wardlaw School for Boys. In addition to the main house, there is a vaulted ceiling fine art room, a photography studio, jewelry design workshop, ceramics studio, computer lab and the duCret Theatre. duCret bought the building in the late 1970's and since then it has been a center for art instruction. The current art vocational school offers, a three year career program geared to develop entrepreneurial artists for the job market.
