The Medical and Health Outreach Club at the College of William and Mary was designed to bring awareness to current medical, health, and fitness related issues that affect college age students. Club members will learn about and discuss current medical and health trends, host guest speaker and health related events and activities, learn about medical and health related research opportunities, as well as plan and host fundraisers; with all proceeds to be donated (in full) to committee designated research foundations, such as the American Diabetes Association and the Tidewater Chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, our club partner. The overall objective of the club is to better educate and provide students with opportunities and resources to improve their overall health, to encourage them to become more proactive about healthcare concerns, to spread awareness through inter-campus club activities, and to become more active in their own communities regarding medical and health related issues.
