Read More Head for the Cure is a local nonprofit that hosts Kansas City’s largest annual charitable 5K, bringing together over 6,000 participants to support the local brain cancer community. The mission of Head for the Cure is to inspire hope for the community of brain cancer patients, their families, friends, caregivers and other supporters, while celebrating their courage, spirit and energy. Funds raised through this event will locally benefit brain tumor research at The University of Kansas Cancer Center, Saint Luke’s, Children’s Mercy, Solace House, Head for the Cure’s Path to Hope, and other national brain cancer programs, education, and initiatives.
