Founded in 1971, Community Helpline is a volunteer-led, non-profit organization providing a free, confidential, and safe "lifeline of hope" to anyone in crisis or in need of support. Every single day, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, our rigorously trained crisis listeners provide an empathetic, non-judgmental sounding board and vital resource referrals for callers who feel overwhelmed, lonely, or distressed. Why We Are Raising Funds at GroupRaise? Operating a daily helpline requires continuous technical upkeep and community backing to ensure the phone lines stay fully accessible. When you purchase a movie ticket through our GroupRaise campaign, Regal Theatres will donate a portion of the proceeds directly to our organization. Your support helps us: - Train Crisis Listeners: Cover the comprehensive training materials and resources needed to equip our dedicated volunteers. - Maintain Our Technology: Fund essential technical upgrades and call-routing software so that every call is answered seamlessly from 8 AM to 8 PM. - Expand Community Outreach: Help spread the word to local schools, youth groups, and neighbors so they know they always have someone to talk to. How to Participate: Simply RSVP, grab your friends and family for a great night at the theater, and buy your tickets through this page.
