We are Satellite Dance. Adaptable. Shared. With Care. Satellite produces projects and compensates artists for showing floorwork, aerial dance, and beyond. We welcome underrepresented artists, providing a safe space to create and perform. We make original group pieces that are inclusive of ability levels. For youth, community, or professionals, Satellite is for anyone who wants to challenge their existing movement practices. And then there's the work. Whether it's a studio, a backyard, or a film set, we adapt our art to the world we orbit. Through education, performance, and community engagement programs, we work to identify unique channels for sharing aerial and dance affordably and accessibly. Satellite aims to cultivate meaningful relationships with our students, artists, and audiences. We use responsive teaching techniques, encourage open conversations, and continue to educate ourselves about the importance of intersectionality in the performing arts.
