Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Luis Obispo County is a nonprofit supporting at-risk children and youth in the community with mentorships that are life-changing. Research from our county and across the nation consistently points to the benefits of mentorship - from higher test scores and college completion to lower rates of risky behavior. Our mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. We partner with parents/guardians, volunteers and others in the community and hold ourselves accountable for each child in our program achieving: • Higher aspirations, greater confidence and better relationships • Educational success
