ECG Robotics is affiliated with a STEM oriented program, For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST for short). FIRST provides students with the opportunity to design and build robots, and then compete at both local and international events. Our Mission? Our mission is to help students of Guilford County to develop the skills and desire for a career in science, technology, engineering and math. We currently have one First Robotics Competition (FRC) team and four First Tech Challenge (FTC) teams supported by ECG Robotics, Inc. We have 65+ high school students involved in these five teams and they traditionally meet every Friday night during the school year and continue meeting during the summer. Outside of the build and competition piece of FIRST, FRC Team 1533 and FTC Teams 731, 5795, 6183, and 10195 focus on educating and giving back to the community through outreach events at local schools, museums, and community events.
