The Children’s Tumor Foundation is pleased to announce that the Kansas City NF Walk will be held on Saturday, September 22nd, 2018 at Penguin Park. We are contacting you in hopes that your company will join us as we take steps to #EndNF! There are three ways to get involved: 1. Become a monetary sponsor 2. Form a corporate team (great team building activity and can also enhance company morale) 3. Provide in-kind goods/services to help decrease the walk expenses, which would allow for the greatest amount of the funds raised to fuel research. With the help of walkers, donors, and sponsors, last year the event raised more than $20,000 for NF research and we hope to beat that goal in 2018! NF causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body and can lead to blindness, bone abnormalities, cancer, deafness, disfigurement, learning disabilities, and excruciating and disabling pain. NF affects one in every 3,000 people regardless of race, gender/ethnicity, or age. There is no cure for NF, not yet! Current NF research efforts benefit those who live with NF as well as help to shed new light on several forms of cancer, brain tumors, bone abnormalities, and learning disabilities, ultimately benefiting the broader community.
